You typed two percent of the prompt

Prompting changed a lot this year. The words you type matter less. What you hand the model around them matters more. What changed, how to tell if you're still prompting like it's 2024, and how to fix it. Free lesson, paid build.

Your agent made a call. Can you show me why?

Observability is the difference between an agent you run and an agent you trust. What it means, why the enterprise pays millions for it, and the version that costs you nothing. Free lesson, paid build.

This week: the doors you didn't know were open

A plugin that updates itself in the background, a workflow toggle that says run on your own, and the clever fix I announced on Monday for a client's data that turned out to be the wrong problem solved well. Plus the answer sheet for when a client asks where their data goes.

The month the subscriptions stopped covering it

In April I published a cost guide with ninety-two dollar figures in it. Most of them are wrong now, and the thing that drains operators was not in it at all. The plan names did not change. The contract underneath them did.

This week: the agent did the hours. What do you charge?

AI touched the invoice three times this week: a founding member testing a repricer against his own books, a billing line that doubles the whole request when you cross it, and a backup the deleting command could reach. Plus the pricing call I had to make about my own hours.

The operator audit: ten questions, twenty points, and my own score

Eight weeks of issues, one rule each. I finally checked whether I follow them. The scorecard is free. The prompt that grades your setup, and my grade, are for Operators.

This week: the model wars got a price list

Five vendors shipped in four days, two flagships landed at the identical price, the cheap tier got 100x cheaper than the top, and Musk says his is next. What the benchmarks won't tell you, and what the invoice will.

Two machines, one mess

Give every kind of state one owner, and every concurrent agent its own workspace

The AI agency calling you was a dropshipper last year

A wave of inexperienced sellers is working small business phone lists right now, and the liability lands on you, not them. The full anatomy of the grift, and how to not be the bag holder.

This week: you approved it. Did you review it?

New data on what actually happens when humans click approve all day, and the night my editor caught what my process missed.
